1. Does my personal insurance cover my Luxe Motion rental?
In most cases, yes. If you have a full-coverage personal auto policy in Oklahoma, it typically transfers to a rental vehicle. However, since many personal policies exclude “Commercial or Business Use,” we strongly recommend checking with your agent if you plan to drive for Uber, Lyft, or DoorDash.
2. What is a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?
A CDW is not insurance; it is an agreement where Luxe Motion waives our right to collect a high deductible from you if the car is damaged. It gives you “low-deductible” peace of mind. If you are a Tulsa gig worker, this is our most popular option because it protects your income from unexpected repair costs.
3. I’m a Rideshare Driver—what insurance do I need?
To drive for Uber or Lyft in Oklahoma, you must meet the state’s 25/50/25 liability minimums. While the apps provide coverage while you are “on the clock” with a passenger, you are responsible for the vehicle during “Phase 1” (app on, but no ride yet). We offer supplemental protection specifically designed to fill these “gig economy gaps.”
4. What is Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI)?
Our SLI provides an extra layer of protection above the Oklahoma state minimums. It covers third-party medical expenses and property damage if you are at fault in an accident. This is highly recommended for travelers and drivers who want maximum financial protection while on the Tulsa roads.
5. Does my credit card provide rental insurance?
Many premium credit cards offer Secondary Rental Insurance. This means they will pay for damages only after your personal insurance has reached its limit. Note: Most credit card protections specifically exclude vehicles used for “commercial purposes” (like delivery or rideshare).
6. What should I do if I have an accident in Tulsa?
Ensure Safety: Move to a safe location and check for injuries.
Call 911: Always file a police report, even for minor fender-benders.
Document: Take clear photos of all vehicles involved and the surrounding street signs.
Notify Us: Contact Luxe Motion through our digital portal immediately. Because we are 100% digital, you can upload your photos and police report directly to your rental file.
7. Is Roadside Assistance included?
Yes! In case by case situations Luxe Motion rentals include basic roadside assistance for mechanical failures. We also offer Premium Roadside Protection for a small daily fee that covers “human errors” like lockouts, flat tires, or running out of gas in the Tulsa metro area.
